$20,000 worth of crude oil taken in Dawson Co.

DAWSON COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

Thieves made off with $20,000 worth of crude oil in Dawson County.

Sheriff Matt Hogg said a tanker truck was likely used to make off with 360 barrels worth of crude.

It was stolen from a pair of tank batteries owned by Diamondback Energy.

The Permian Basin Oilfield Theft Task Force is trying to track down the thieves.
