ALPINE, TX (KWES) - One man was arrested and charged for intentionally setting a U.S. Post Office on fire in Alpine last week.

Karl Henry Peterson, 59, was charged with one count of arson involving a federal facility.

According to the complaint, Peterson set fire to the post office during the early morning hours on Oct. 20.

The fire caused extensive damage to the building.

Peterson faces between five to 20 years behind bars if he's found guilty.
