Two cars stolen, one found on fire in Big Spring

Big Spring Police are investigating two aggravated robberies from Monday night.

BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - Big Spring Police are investigating two aggravated robberies from Monday night.

Police say around 11:20 p.m., a man was standing outside his vehicle at the Best Western Hotel on the 900 block N. Lamesa Highway when two Hispanic males wearing black bandanas over their face approached him, pointed a gun and demanded his wallet.

The victim said he dropped his things and ran inside the hotel to call police. That's when the two men left the scene with his car.

Later on that night, a woman says she parked her car in the south parking lot of the post office at 501 S. Main Street. While sitting inside the car, she says two Hispanic males opened the door and pointed a gun at her and the passenger, demanding they exit the vehicle. They complied and the two suspects stole the car.

Police found one of the vehicles engulfed in flames on W. 1st Street and Brown Street.

They located the second vehicle in an alley on the 1500 block of Sycamore Street and Wood Street.
