ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Make-up can be expensive and that may be why one Odessa woman used the five-finger discount at JC Penney's in Music City Mall. Now, she's wanted and the Odessa Crime Stoppers need your help.
Back on September 3, a woman walks into Sephora, browses for a little bit and even asks for help matching her foundation color. In the end, she makes off with nearly $200 dollars worth of make up.
"She even has one of the clerks try one of the makeup on her and show her some different products and then you see her reach into her purse and take her wallet out," said Odessa Crime Stoppers Susan Rogers.
She walks around carrying the wallet, playing the part of a paying customer until she makes her steal.
"Not too long after that, she goes behind one of the end caps and kneels down," said Rogers. "When she stands back up, she has no product in her hand that she started with so that's where she puts it into her purse and takes off."
She ended up taking NARS and Kat Von D brand make-up. Both of those ring up to about $175, which is classified as a Theft, Class B.
"We believe she is a Hispanic female, light skin toned long hair, and she has sunglasses on top of her head," said Rogers. "Be sure and look at the purse she has and the way she is dressed. I think by those type of things, somebody will recognize her."
