Alpine PD to hold press conference on search for missing student

ALPINE, TX (KWES) -

The Alpine Police Department announced a press conference to discuss the progress in the search for missing Sul Ross student Zuzu Verk.

The press conference is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Verk is described as 5 feet tall, 110 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. Her natural hair color is brown but has recently been colored blonde. 

She was last heard from during the early morning hours on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Verk is a student at Sul Ross State University and works on campus. 

Police are also asking the public for information about two cars, a grey 2006 Jeep Liberty and a 2004 Mazda Miata convertible with a beige top. The vehicles were seen driving between the hours of midnight and 10 a.m. on Wednesday Oct. 12, 2016.
