(KWES) - In an effort to both keep your kids having fun without spoiling both their appetite and their teeth, Kool Smiles Dentistry is once again hosting "Operation Troop Treats" this Halloween holiday.

That means that once your little ghoul or goblin has trick or treated themselves a whole big helping of candy, you can take those sweets to any Kool Smiles location and trade it in for an age appropriate toy.

That way they're not ruining their smiles but keep on smiling.

But Kool Smiles is not just hoarding candy.

They actually partner up with Operation Gratitude to send the donated candy in care package, along with toothbrushes, to the brave men and women serving in the armed forces overseas to remind them of home sweet home.

"We send candy, and also the toothbrushes so they know that after they eat the candy they have to brush their teeth too," said Doctor Rizwan Lalani with Kool Smiles Dentistry.

You can start bringing in your candy to any Kool Smiles location from Oct. 28 through Nov. 5.
