Midland College student publications win awards

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

Midland College student publications won big at the Texas Community College Journalism Association awards at their convention in Clearlake, Texas.

The Midland College Press student newspaper won a general excellence honorable mention.

Students Bert Garza, Dustin Gordon, Ricardo Reyes, Lionel Reynosa and Zach Neuser all won individual awards at the convention.

Bob Templeton, MC Allison Chair of Journalism, said, “We won a good number of awards like we do every year, but they are only icing on the cake for excellent writing, photography, publication design and artwork created by MC students.”
