(CNN) - The Obama administration has announced new regulations for airline carriers.
Topping the list is a requirement for airlines to refund baggage fees if the bags become substantially delayed.
Airlines must also make clear all fees charged for seat assignments, boarding preferences and luggage.
The Department of Transportation will also require airlines to collect more information on late flights, mishandled bags and damaged wheelchairs.
Officials say the changes will improve air travel for millions of Americans and spur competition in the industry.
