ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A unanimous decision Tuesday night at the Ector County School Board meeting.
Trustees voted to approve using tax notes to help cover operating costs in the coming months.
District leaders are worried money from property taxes and state funding may not get to them in time.
This plus having $15 million less in the budget puts E.C.I.S.D. in a tight spot.
The tax notes will help by acting like a short-term loan of up to $20 million.
If the district ends up using the money, it has a deadline of May 31 to pay it back.
