One bridge in Ector County has been reopened following a morning crash.
The accident happened on Interstate 20 at FM 1053.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials said the roadway was reopened Thursday afternoon after a trailer was hanging off the bridge.
We're told a preliminary investigation found that the cause of the crash was a mechanical failure with the hydraulic system on the truck.
Authorities said the failure caused the trailer part of the truck to raise up and strike the bridge.
No citations were issued and the driver wasn't injured.
