MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Midland County Public Library is the new home to a painting by a local artist, who is widely acknowledged as one of the most versatile professional artists in the Permian Basin.
The painting is known as "Eisenhower's Birthplace" and it's an original work by Lucio Orozco, better known as Rosco.
Officials with the library proudly accepted the painting and will put it on the display soon.
Rosco's paintings are known for having a distinctive quality because they combined depth, color and creativity to give his work a live on canvas look.
Rosco passed away in May of 2000 but his memory will live on as others enjoy his work on display.
