ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Two people are behind bars following a $7 robbery at an Odessa grocery store.

Allie Jaramillo, 42, and Tony Cleaver, 49, were both arrested for robbery.

Odessa Police were called out to the Albertson's in the 2700 N. County Road West in reference to a robbery.

When officers arrived, an investigation revealed that Jaramillo concealed approximately $7 worth of merchandise in her purse and left the store without any attempt to pay.

According to the report, as Albertson's employees confronted her about the unpaid items, Cleaver began to confront the employee.

That's when, police said, both of them assaulted the employee as they tried to keep the merchandise in their possession.

Authorities said Cleaver pushed and hit the employee, causing injuries to the victim's hand.

Police said both Jaramillo and Cleaver fled the scene before they got there but detectives were able to positively identify both of them through surveillance video.

Both were later arrested and charged.
