ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Two parents are behind bars on charges of endangering a child.

Thomas Marsh, 31, and Whitney Marsh, 27, were arrested.

Odessa Police said they were called out to the 4900 block of Pepperidge Place in reference to a found child last Friday morning.

That's where a person told police they found a four-year-old child walking on a sidewalk in the 4900 block of Pepperidge.

Officers spoke with the child and she gave her first name but was unsure of her last name.

Further investigation revealed that the girl's parents were Thomas and Whitney Marsh.

According to the report, the parents told officers their four-year-old daughter was supposed to be sleeping in the backseat of their vehicle with their dog while they went to a garage sale.

Both parents were arrested and charged.
