MANHATTAN (KS)- The Texas Tech Red Raiders were gifted the early return of their QB Patrick Mahomes, but it wasn't enough to win a shoot out against Kansas State.
The Wildcats took down the Red Raiders 44-38.
Kansas State took the Red Raider offense out of the equation in the second half of the game.
After putting up 28 points at the half, Tech managed just 10 points the rest of the way.
Mahomes, who injured his shoulder against Kansas last week, finished the game with 504 yards and 2 TD's through the air. He added three more scores on the ground.
Texas Tech falls to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 play.
