MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Authorities in Midland have released the name of the deceased in Tuesday evening's motorcycle crash.
According to Midland Police, Colten McDill, 21, of Granbury, was declared dead at the scene.
Police say McDill was accelerating in order to pass two semi-trailer trucks where the two lanes of the service road of Loop 250 merge.
After he passed the first truck he struck a tire on the second, which caused him to be thrown off the motorcycle on to the road and into the path of traffic.
