BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) -

A Big Spring school janitor cleared of any wrongdoing. Police say accusations made by a student's father just aren't true. In fact, police say it wasn't even close to what actually happened.

A Facebook post started the investigation.

In the post, a father says a custodian at Moss Elementary in big spring covered her daughter's mouth, held her down and tried to bribe her while she was in the restroom.

It turns out, he wasn't even in the restroom when she was.

In a statement, the Big Spring Chief of Police says when reviewing security footage from when she was in the restroom, the custodian in question was in the cafeteria doing his job.

In fact, the janitor did give the child money through a teacher's aide because she was crying and the janitor wanted to buy her some candy.
