West Texas A&M hands UTPB first loss

ODESSA- After severe weather canceled the initial match-up, UTPB and West Texas A&M finally hit the field on Sunday morning.  However,the Buffaloes scored early and often to hand the Falcons (2-1) a 48-14 loss. ODESSA- After severe weather canceled the initial match-up, UTPB and West Texas A&M finally hit the field on Sunday morning.

However,the Buffaloes scored early and often to hand the Falcons (2-1) a 48-14 loss.

This was not only the Falcons first loss of the season, but their first loss in school history.

This game also marked the beginning of Lone Star Conference play.

The UTPB offense struggled throughout the game.

QB Kameron Mathis wen 8 for 25 for 74 yards and 2 interceptions before being pulled. Caden Coots finished the game for the Falcons.

Coots led the Falcons to their only offensive touchdown of the game, a 9 yard pass to Terrell Davidson.

The Falcons will face Western New Mexico next Saturday at Ratliff Stadium
