ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

One woman is behind bars on two counts of endangering a child.

Maria Anchondo, 45, was arrested Friday in the 3100 block of North Adams Ave. by Odessa police and the U.S. Marshals.

According to the report, a search warrant was executed on a home in the 3100 block of North Adams on Sept. 1 in reference to an injury to a child investigation by Odessa police.

We're told an investigation revealed that a 14-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy lived as the home.

Officers said they found the home to be in extreme disrepair, unclean and with several holes in most of the interior walls.

Authorities added that they found cocaine and marijuana inside one of the holes as well as plumbing that was still exposed with stagnant dirty water resting inside the pipes.

Exposed tack strips were also found on the floor with nails still in them.

Anchondo was later arrested and charged after detectives obtained warrants for her arrest.

Child Protective Services were notified about the incident.
