ODESSA- The UTPB Football team was picked to finish last in the Lone Star Conference in preseason, but right now they are proving everybody wrong in every possible way thanks to a 2-0 start.
Justin Carrigan's team got some key turnovers in the first half that helped the Falcons gain momentum.
Quarterback Kameron Mathis turned in yet another solid performance going 34 for 55 for 368 yards 3 touchdowns and 1 interception.
"It's two weeks in a row we've got the W, that's huge," Mathis said. "I mean that's the goal ultimately. I mean so it feels really good right now just kinda taking it all in."
The Falcons will face West Texas A&M at home next Saturday at Ratliff Stadium.
