ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa inmate is getting out early thanks to President Obama.

Samuel Johnson was one of 111 inmates given a reduced sentence by the president.

All are serving long term for non-violent drug offenses.

Back in 2002, Johnson was sentenced to life in prison for having more than 50 grams of cocaine with the intent to sell it.

Now after 14 years, his sentence will be up on Dec. 28.
