ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars accused of robbery that occurred at an Odessa store last Sunday.
Baxter Turner, 47, was arrested on Friday afternoon.
Odessa police were called out to the Target on E. 42nd Street in reference to a robbery.
When officers arrived, they spoke with a woman who stated that a man, later identified as Turner, concealed approximately $300 worth of merchandise inside his clothes without making any attempt to pay for them.
According to the report, the woman told police that when she confronted Turner he pushed her, causing her to fall and injure her left knee.
We're told Turner later fled the scene in a Ford Mustang with black stripes down the middle.
Police said the woman was able to give police a partial license plate number and officers were later able to identify Turner's vehicle after they searched a police database.
Police said the woman was later called in to participate in a police lineup and she identified Turner as the suspect from the robbery.
Turner was later arrested and charged.
