ODESSA- The UTPB Football team held it's final scrimmage before the start of the regular season on Saturday morning.
Quarterback Kameron Mathis was first up with the first team offense in the scrimmage.
Mathis showed off his arm and his scrambling ability against his teammates, making more of a case for himself for the starting job.
Mathis has been in competition with fellow quarterback Caden Coots throughout camp.
Running backs Brandon Bailey and Brandon Infiesto also impressed in the scrimmage.
Coach Justin was pleased with the second scrimmage, especially with the play of his special teams.
"I thought we came a long ways from the first scrimmage just in our special teams operations, who's out there, who's supposed to be on the field and who's not," Carrigan said. "That went a lot smoother today and it was good to see."
