Fugitive arrested in Odessa after evading, giving police false name

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars on several charges following a pedestrian stop in Odessa on Sunday.

Police said they saw a man walking westbound across the 2600 block of North JBS Parkway.

According to the report, the man wasn't using a crosswalk and police conducted a stop.

Authorities stated the man initially gave officers a false name and date of birth but he was later identified as Terry Crosson, 25.

We're told when police tried to detain Crosson, he took off from police on foot.

A police investigation revealed that Crosson had a parole violation warrant and he had a prior conviction for evading.

Crosson was arrested and charged with evading arrest or detention with a prior conviction, false identification - fugitive from justice and a felony parole violation warrant.
