(KWES) - The company in charge of last year's STAAR testing is looking at a big fine from the state.

New Jersey based, Educational Testing Services, was fined $5.7 million for this past years glitches, which caused thousands of students to not be able to complete the STAAR test.

They're being ordered to invest another $15 million in future safeguards to make sure this problem does not happen again.

Educational Testing Services won the contract to administer the STAAR test back in 2015 at a price of $280 million.
