MIDLAND-ODESSA, TX (KWES) - You need to be aware of some changes you'll see on your child's lunch bill and if you haven't filled out a free or reduced price meal application, you may want to do that soon.
As a mandate from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, lunch prices will increase by $0.10.
The Midland Independent School District will charge $2.85 for elementary school lunches and secondary school lunches will cost you $3.10.
Reduced-price lunches across the board are just $0.40.
If you want to get a head start and pay those, you can do so by visiting midlandisd.net.
To qualify for the reduced lunch prices, you must complete an application online at the Midland ISD website. Click on the CNS/Meal Application and submit it electronically or visit the MISD offices at 801 S. Moran Street, Building #2 for a paper copy.
As for the Ector County I.S.D, starting at the secondary school levels, it'll be $2.50 for lunches and non-students will be charged $3.50.
At the elementary and Pre-K schools, lunch will cost you $2.25 and for non-students, $3.75.
The price for reduced lunches is $0.40.
