ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Joshua Bates, 17, and a 14-year-old were arrested on Monday morning at 16th St. and North County Road in one of two stolen vehicles, police said.
With the help of GPS, Odessa Police were able to track down the location of a MINI Cooper stolen from High Plains Apartments.
Both Bates and the 14-year-old confessed to walking through the Apartment Complex checking vehicles for unlocked doors.
That's where they got away in the MINI Cooper and a white 2010 Dodge Ram pickup.
Corporal Steve LeSueur with the Odessa Police Department said the teens have ties to the vandalism that happened earlier this week at the Ector County Coliseum.
The two were arrested for two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, which is a state jail felony.
While the MINI Cooper has been found, the Dodge pickup has yet to be recovered.
The Dodge pickup is bearing Texas license plate number AN90720.
