GAIL- The Borden County Coyotes were one of the most dominant teams in our viewing area a year ago. The team went 13-1 and came up just short of a state championship appearance.
This year, that semifinal loss has put a large chip on the shoulders of Trey Ritchie and company.
The team returns 10 of 12 starters, including all state running back Corbin Sumners and QB Hunter Jones.
"One of the things that we've been talking about all year though is we've got for the first time, we've got a large senior class and these guys, several of them played started for us on both sides of the ball as freshman," Coyotes Head Coach Trey Ritchie said. "This is kind of the no regrets year for them."
The team is confident and they look like they are once again the favorites in District 5-1A Division 1.
