Mojo Media Day comes to Permian High

ODESSA- The 2016 Permian Football season came more into focus at the team's annual media day on Saturday morning.

Permian is coming off a their most successful season under Head Coach Blake Feldt, in which they made a run to the area round of the playoffs.

This team is almost brand new. This includes a new starting quarterback Steve Steen, who replaces Trey Potter.

Another change for 2016 is the district. Permian is now in district 2-6A where they will now go head to head with the team that knocked them out of the playoffs, Amarillo Tascosa.

The regular season is just under two weeks away, Mojo is confident but they know they're is still some work left to be done.

" We've got a new quarterback in Steve Steen, who played on the JV last year and Steve's done a really good job in camp so far and he's done a good job throughout the summer," Permian Head Coach Blake Feldt said. "We're excited about the possibilities we have. We have a long way to go."

Permian will open the season against Vandergrift on August 26th in Austin, Texas.
