ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The Texas Tech Health Sciences Center unveiled their newly renovated auditorium on Thursday.
They held a ribbon cutting and gave a tour of the state of the art facility.
The auditorium seats 206 people and features the most advanced audiovisual and sound equipment as well as new lighting and all new seating.
Non-profits can also use the facility and can make reservations through the facilities department.
Gary Ventolini, the Dean of the Health Sciences Center, said it was an important addition for the professionals of the school and the city.
"The city of Odessa, the hospitals around here, everybody needed a place that was state of the art audiovisual and also electronically connected because the way people learn now is different from many years ago," said Ventolini.
The auditorium will be used by all Texas Tech University Health and Sciences Center Schools on the Permian Basin Campus.
