ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man was arrested and charged following a disturbance call in Odessa on Friday.
Odessa police were called out to the 200 block of East 37th St. just before 8:45 p.m.
According to the report, dispatch reported that a person was armed with a crow bar.
As officers arrived, they found a 43-year-old man bleeding from the head.
Police said an investigation revealed that after Luis Felipe Fernando Moriel, 47, tried to run over the victim's dog, both men began to argue.
Witnesses told police that Moriel hit the 43-year-old man in the head with the crow bar.
We're told the victim was seriously injured as a result of the assault.
Moriel was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He was taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
