La Ley to host Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

La Ley’s 2016 Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon is set for August 4, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and August 5, 6 a.m. to noon.

The number to call and donate to help make sure every child gets care, regardless of their family’s financial situation, is 1-800-680-3721.

All money raised will help local children and families.

About 10,000 babies and children are seen every year through Medical Center Health System’s ER and the average length of stay in a NICU is 11-60 days.

Children’s Miracle Network hospitals overall treat 17 million children each year.

     According to police, a black Ford F-150, being operated by Marcelo Olivas, 17, was traveling on private property when a 20-month-old boy ran out in front of the F-150 and was struck by it.
