MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Midland police arrested two men and recovered thousands in stolen property from their houses.
Officers were called out to the 400 block of Crenshaw Dr. Monday afternoon for a burglary in progress and shots fired report.
Willie Sampson, 42, and Clarence Lovell, 46, were identified as suspects in the incident, as well as several other residential burglaries.
Sampson and Lovell were found at their homes where police took them into custody and recovered thousands of dollars' worth of stolen items, including the handgun that was fired on Crenshaw Dr.
Those who have had items stolen between July 1 of this year and the present can go to the Armory located at 4100 N. Lamesa Rd., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, August 1 to claim them. You must present a valid driver's license and case number for the correct police report to reclaim your property.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and ask that if you have been a victim of a residential burglary to call MPD at (432)-685-7108 to file a report. Those with reports for items found in connection to this case will be contacted by a detective.
