ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One Odessa bridge can't catch a break this month after being hit again by an 18-wheeler on Wednesday afternoon.
We're told the 18-wheeler struck the Interstate 20/Crane Ave. bridge in Odessa just before 3 p.m.
Odessa police said the 18-wheeler was pulling a backhoe and was approximately 3 1/2 feet over limit.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, Tommy Lance, 50, of Oklahoma, wasn't injured but will be cited by the Department of Public Safety.
Texas Department of Transportation officials said all Interstate 20 lanes will reopen before dark Wednesday night.
As a result of the strike, Texas Department of Transportation officials are having a bridge division in Austin make a more complete assessment of the damage to the bridge.
This is the same bridge that was struck earlier this month and also in 2015.
