Two dead after Pecos Co. car wreck

PECOS COUNTY, TX (KWES) - The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed two people are dead after a collision in Pecos Co., about seven miles south of Grandfalls.

Monday morning the driver of a Ford F-350 pickup ran a stop sign, at the intersection of Highway 18 and FM 1450, striking another truck with 3 people inside.

Passengers Teresa Cardwell, 57, and Myrtle Norman, 89, both of Alpine were pronounced dead on the scene.

Neither of the drivers suffered major injury.
