Odessa man behind bars after allegedly assaults, interference with emergency call

One man is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, her cousin and then threatening her mother with a baseball bat.

Odessa police were sent out to the 900 block of North Belmont Ave. Sunday morning for a disturbance involving someone with a bat.

When officers arrived, they encountered Dominique Krumnow, 23, as well as his 18-year-old girlfriend.

According to authorities Krumnow assaulted his girlfriend after an argument. Krumnow then assaulted her 17-year-old cousin after he tried to prevent the assault.

Further investigation revealed that Krumnow also threatened his girlfriend’s mother by making a gesture with a bat, as though he was going to hit her.

When the mother tried to call 911, he took her phone and threw it.

Krumnow was arrested and charged with two counts of assault causing bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and interference with an emergency phone call.
