ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars following a burglary last month in Ector County.
Ector County deputies arrested James Long, 43, for burglary of a habitation.
According to the report, deputies took a report back on July 2 about someone taking several pieces of jewelry.
Authorities followed up with neighbors and were told that a white man, known as "Spider," had been seen going in and out of a residence in the 2600 block of West 26th Street.
We're told "Spider" was later identified as Long.
Deputies later learned that Long was already in custody after being accused of stabbing another man back in late June 2016.
During an interview, authorities said Long admitted to taking the jewelry and the jewelry was found in Long's property inventory at the detention center.
