ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars on several charges following an incident on Sunday morning.

Police said they spotted a red Mazda run a stop sign at Wilson Street and Pine Avenue traveling at a high rate of speed.

That's when, police said, the vehicle ran another stop sign and crashed into a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of Lindberg St.

According to the report, a man jumped out of the car and ignored the officer's commands to stop.

The man, who was later identified as Enrique Zubia, 18, was caught after a resident reported seeing someone in their back yard.

The report stated that Zubia admitted to drinking an alcoholic beverage and he also had a bag of cocaine in his possession.

Zubia is charged with possession of cocaine, evading arrest or detention, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.
