MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Church Under The Bridge is beginning work on its new building which will be part church and part community center.
Organizers are hoping to raise $500 through donations and grants.
Part of the plan was announced Tuesday by Church Executive Director and Pastor, Evan Rogers.
We spoke with Rogers who said the church will offer 29 classes at the new building, which will have a kitchen, lockers to store clothing, a food shop, a community garden and more.
Church Under The Bridge will hold the a concert fundraiser on October 21 at Stonegate Fellowship.
The concert will feature Tenth Avenue North, Hawk Nelson and Dan Bremnes.

Church Under the Bridge often works with the homeless and needy in Midland.
Pastor Rogers said that people on the streets are people too and many of them have no one to turn to for help.
