ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Midland-Odessa area until Wednesday.
The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity can make it feel as if you're inside the heat of a hair-dryer.
If you must be outside, make sure and drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks and wear light colored clothing if possible.
Try to stay out of the heat completely and try to check in on your neighbors.
The signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke include fatigue, dizziness, headaches, muscle cramping as well as nausea and vomiting.
If you notice these symptoms in yourself or someone else immediately get indoors and if that doesn't help seek medical attention.
