Three dead after two-vehicle Reeves Co. crash

REEVES COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

Three people are dead after a two vehicle crash three miles north of Pecos on U.S. Hwy 285 early Tuesday morning.

The big-rig was heading south on 285 when a Ford Ranger going north attempted to pass another vehicle in a “No Passing Zone.”

Both vehicles tried to avoid each other but ultimately crashed head-on in the northbound shoulder.

Three passengers in the Ranger died and one was taken to the hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Jamie Bahe, 25, Shawna Bahe, 38, and Nathan Montoya, 7, all of Albuquerque, were pronounced dead on the scene.

Quaylo Montoya was taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock.

Zachary Ware, 30, of Palm City, Fl. Was uninjured.
