FORT STOCKTON, TX (KWES) - Don't be afraid if you're driving past the Fort Stockton Middle School Wednesday and it looks like something dangerous is going on.
The school will be hosting an active shooter training exercise.
Nine Pecos County agencies are expected to participate in the training including the U.S. Border Patrol and the Fort Stockton Police Department.
The exercise is intended to provide scenario based training in critical incident environments.
If a real life deadly situation happens, the training will have taught officers the best way to handle it.
Visitors, including students, will not be allowed on campus between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
