Superintendent of Midland Independent School District moving on

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Dr. Ryder Warren has been at the helm of Midland Independent School District for the last six years. On Monday, it was announced he will be the new superintendent at the Northwest Independent School District in the Fort Worth area.

He said in a letter, "My family and I will start another chapter in our lives but we will always remember Midland and MISD as a wonderful experience..."

He was name superintendent at MISD in July of 2010.

Before that he was an instructor at Texas Tech, a principal, superintendent at Marble Falls ISD, Crane ISD and Thorndale ISD.

Dr. Warren has a Bachelor of Science degree from Angelo State University, a Master of Educational Administration from Southwest Texas State University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University.

He holds certifications as a superintendent, mid-management administrator, secondary English teacher and secondary physical education teacher.

MISD plans to have more information on the transition over the next couple of weeks.
