Man accused of cutting girlfriend, threatening 4 family members

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

One man is facing several charges after being accused of cutting his girlfriend and threatening to kill four family members on Sunday morning.

Odessa police were called out to the 3800 block of Robertson Ave. in reference to a domestic disturbance.

As officers were headed to the scene, dispatch reported that a man had cut a woman with a knife.

Police said an investigation revealed that after William Edwards, 44, got into an argument with his girlfriend, Edwards pushed her before cutting her neck with a knife.

The report stated that's when Edwards threatened to kill all four family members.

A witness stated that Edwards also waved the knife around before grabbing his girlfriend from behind.

Edwards was later arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence).
