MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Mother Nature is leaving behind lots of rain for some counties in West Texas.
As a result, the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for east central Pecos County and eastern Terrell County until 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.
According to the NWS, doppler radar indicated an area of showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain of one to two inches per hour over eastern Terrell County and extreme east central Pecos County.
NWS meteorologists said since one to two inches of rain has already fallen over the area Monday morning, more flash flooding is expected.
Remember, when you see a flooded roadway, turn around, don't drown.
