"Mexico's Bravest Man" set to open in Odessa

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One filmmaker is exploring the story of the former chief of police in Juarez, Mexico, who survived several assassination attempts.

"Mexico's Bravest Man" is Charlie Minn's latest film about Julian Leyzaola who took a job as police chief in two of the most dangerous cities in Mexico: Tijuana and Juarez.

Minn says the people of Mexico need someone to tell their story and wants people to walk out and explore their courage levels.

The film will play at the Ector Theatre in Odessa on June 24 and June 25 at 7 p.m and 9 p.m.
