ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One woman is facing numerous charges after hitting an Odessa police officer on Wednesday.
Odessa police were called out to the 3900 block of Penbrook in reference to a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they made contact with Selena Gonzales, 42.
An investigation revealed that Gonzales had six outstanding misdemeanor warrants and she was later taken into custody.
The report stated that as Gonzales was being taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center, she took off her seat belt and began kicking the patrol vehicle door and safety barrier.
Police said Gonzales yelled profanities and wouldn't comply with the officer's commands.
That's when, police said, Gonzales began screaming and spitting at officers and used both of her legs to kick an officer in the chest.
Gonzales is charged with assault on a public servant causing bodily injury, resisting transportation and for the six outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
