ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One mother is facing several charges following a traffic stop in Odessa.
According to Odessa police, officers saw a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign located at 17th Street and Maple Street.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and noticed that the driver, Irene Llanez, 28, was shaking and handed officers an expired occupational driver's license.
According to the report, a passenger in the vehicle was Llanez's eight-year-old son.
Police said they searched the vehicle and found approximately 11 grams of heroin, 12 grams of methamphetamine and three different types of prescription pills located directly behind Llanez's son.
The investigation also revealed that Llanez had an invalid Texas driver's license with a prior conviction out of Pecos County.
Llanez was arrested on charges of possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, endangering a child, possession of dangerous drugs and driving while license invalid.
Child Protective Services was also notified in reference to the incident.
