Pulse Ultra Club in Myrtle Beach holds moments of silence for Orlando shooting

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Pulse Ultra Club in Myrtle Beach held two moments of silence at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday in light of the tragedy in Orlando.

The first moment of silence was held at 6 p.m. as the City of Orlando held their vigil, and the second was held at 11 p.m. during the club’s karaoke night, which began at 10:30 p.m.

“Pulse Ultra Club MB grieves with the families of those affected by the massacre in Orlando this morning,” states a Facebook post by the Myrtle Beach club. “You are always reminded you have a heart when it breaks, and ours is broken. A gay nightclub is suppose to be a place where LGBT people can be themselves without fear, and where judgement Is left at the door. Love is love. We are all Americans and will stand strong together, united as one family.”

The post closes: “Come out tonight and be with family. Sing for those taken away from us too soon. #‎onefamily #‎loveislove”

"I couldn't imagine being somebody in that situation. Like, if my husband was there right now, you know? I don't know what I'd do. I'd go nuts." said patron Randy Amore.

Pulse Ultra Club is located at 2701 S Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.

A gunman who professed allegiance to the Islamic State carried out the worst shooting in U.S. history killing 50 and wounding 53 more in a shooting at Pulse, a gay night club in Orlando, FL.
