MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

Midland Memorial Hospital is still investigating a security breach after discovering back in April that some patients' medical records were vulnerable.

The Premier Physician group learned that a former employee of theirs OB/GYN Dr. Mario Gross left patient medical records at his home in Midland before he moved away from the area, leaving them unattended in the home after the bank took ownership.

These records include Dr. Gross' patient names account numbers, diagnoses, medications as well as some patients' social security and Medicare numbers.
Premier Physicians says there is no evidence of any attempted misuse of patient information but has sent packets of information to the affected patients about how to monitor and protect against misuse.

A toll-free call center is set up to answer any and all questions you have about this breach, it is available Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
