Fort Stockton police looking for man in connection to battery theft

FORT STOCKTON, TX (KWES) - Fort Stockton police say a man took off with $1200 worth of car batteries in Fort Stockton.

Police say a man walked into the Napa auto parts store around 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
A store employee says the man claimed he was there to pick up 8 car batteries for GNRG out of Big Spring.

He handed over a purchase order number and while the worker checked out the order, he walked out with the batteries.

The purchase order turned out to be fake and he didn't work with the company.

Workers say the man drove a grey 2003 to 2006 Pontiac g-6 and the batteries are black with blue legend labels.
